Internships: Marketing
Game Night Internships - Portland Pirates (Portland, ME)

Game-Night Interns will work closely with the Pirates' Director of Game Operations to ensure that every game night runs smoothly. The candidates are only required for game-nights, and will assist with the following tasks:
• Setup and breakdown of concourse activities/displays on games nights.
• Assist in the execution of all Pirates game-day operations including, but not limited to, sponsor elements, in-game promotions, intermission set-up and activation, coordination of theme nights, mascot supervision, and other tasks deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

- College student or recent graduate in a related field: marketing, sports management, communication, business, or theatre/entertainment

- A POSITIVE attitude, professional demeanor, exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with a variety of people and personalities 

- Ability to take direction is a must

- Detail oriented with time management skills

- Ability to understand situations and show initiative

Public & Media Relations Intern (Summer) - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Wilkes-Barre, PA)

This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations with day-to-day duties.  This internship MUST be taken for college credit.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following lists the primary essential functions of this position.

THIS DESCRIPTION MAY NOT BE ALL INCLUSIVE. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED AS NEEDED.  

• The daily maintenance and upkeep of team statistical and sports information
• Assisting in the production of the W-B/Scranton Penguins Yearbook
• Providing content for and maintenance of the W-B/Scranton Penguins Web site
• Assisting with the creation and implementation of public and community relations efforts
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Candidates must have:

• High School Diploma
• Strong verbal and writing skills
• Ability to multitask
• Strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of hockey
• Flexible hours and availability on nights and weekends
