Ticket Sales & Service - Belleville Senators (Belleville, ON)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Business Development platform at the Belleville Senators provides an experimental learning opportunity for eligible sports, marketing and business students who are primarily focused on developing within the ticket sales and ticket operations context of the sports industry. This internship will expose the candidate to a variety of individuals and functions related to integrated sales, and ticket setup within professional hockey.

All of this will be done in a unique entrepreneurial environment as we work to develop our brand and position ourselves effectively to fans and businesses within the Bay of Quinte marketplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide required support to the Manager of Ticket Sales and Manager of Ticket Operations with respect to processes, sales, lead generation and customer service

  • Actively solicit new business in terms of ticket sales (cold calling, social selling, managing inbound inquiries)

  • Research and develop mini pack, group, and fundraising initiatives

  • Acquire knowledge of our ticketing system and help maintain customer accounts

  • Assist in planning season seat member events and fulfilling season seat projects throughout the summer

The Binghamton Devils are currently seeking Ticket Sales interns for the 2017-18 season. 2017-18 will be the inaugural season for the Binghamton Devils as the American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. The Binghamton Devils, the AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, are seeking game day interns to assist our Director of Game Operations for their inaugural 2017-18 season. This is an unpaid position, however candidates have the opportunity to receive credit for their experience. This internship will give candidate a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, provide world class entertain, and give you a behind the scenes look on how to execute game night elements.  There are 10 internship opportunities available. The Charlotte Checkers are seeking candidates for the position of Brand Ambassador. This position offers an inside look at the day to day operations of the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Team. The focus of this internship will be to provide an intern with the opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of the game operations department. The intern's primary responsibilities will be to assist in customer service efforts as well as help with execution of fan experiences. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside the Checkers front office staff and will be actively involved in the successful execution of the Charlotte Checkers 2017-18 season.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be an ambassador for the team and help create extraordinary fan experiences
  • Assist Checkers staff with the execution of fan experiences
  • Assist with box office and ticket information duties on game days
  • Assist with customer service efforts at Bojangles’ Coliseum

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Grand Rapids Griffins, top affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings, are looking for energetic, professional, and self-motivated people seeking to gain real-world experience while positioning themselves for a career in sports business, where prior experience is looked at as highly desirable by organizations within the industry. Former interns have gone on to gain employment with the Detroit Red Wings, Nashville Predators, Dallas Stars, Detroit Tigers, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland A’s, St. Louis Cardinals, West Michigan Whitecaps, Detroit Pistons, & University of Michigan among others. Interns will be responsible for working in the box office on game nights while providing a memorable experience for fans.

Primary Responsibilities:

This entry-level internship will include game-related duties and responsibilities within the Griffins Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales and Game Operations Departments, including:

Ticket Operations

- Assist in Box Office, sales, will call, and customer service duties on all 38 game nights.

-Participate on the Thunderbirds Game Night Staff assisting with the fulfillment of Fan Experiences and other Community Relations Activities.

The Springfield Thunderbirds are seeking dedicated Ice Crew members for the 2016-17 AHL season. Ice crew members are highly recommended to be available for all regular season home games from through April, as well as playoff games (if necessary).

-Assist with maintenance of ice (shoveling, moving nets, etc.) and operating associated equipment as required.

  • Preparation, set up and tear down of Syracuse Crunch game nights.

Ticket Sales Internship - Fall 2017 - Texas Stars (Cedar Park, TX)

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:  This internship will involve observation of the various functions of Tickets Sales and Services department while receiving practical knowledge of game day responsibilities and project work. Not only will you spend time in the executive offices but you will also assist with in game activation of the sales process. Experience gained through this internship will leave you prepared for any entry-level sales position.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • The steps of the sales cycle
  • Observe how the Ticket Sales New Business, Customer Service and Group Sales departments establish a seamless transition from sales to service, as well as Game Day Operations.
  • How to assist with lead generation, prospecting, calling members/leaders of groups associated with theme nights, order entry and ticket delivery

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates MUST BE enrolled in college, at least Sophomore year, and MUST receive college credit for the internship

  • Be able to attend every Texas Stars game (Sept. – Dec.)
  • Be able to be in office for the mentorship a minimum of 15 hours per week
