An internship with PSE Agency and the Providence Bruins provides a comprehensive experience with a leading agency in the field of Sport and Event Management and Marketing and one of the premier teams in the American Hockey League. Interns are involved with and receive hands on experience with PSE senior staff both in the office and on game and event days. Examples of areas where an intern with PSE Agency can expect to gain experience  include:
• Research, development and implementation for Groups + Events in association with the Providence Bruins and other events at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Veterans Memorial Auditorium

Internships are available on both a full credit and partial credit basis and are available for the fall, winter and summer semesters/trimesters/breaks. Internship hours can include game and events experience as well as in-office experience.

The Springfield Thunderbirds, the AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and passionate individuals who are looking to gain experience in the business of professional sports.  This internship will provide individuals with the chance to gain relevant sports and retail/merchandise experience working all Thunderbirds home games.  This position reports the Coordinator of Brand Development & Merchandise.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Work in-game merchandise stand for scheduled Springfield Thunderbirds home games throughout the 2016-2017 season.

·         Occasionally work outside events.

·         Develop a strong understanding of retail software and inventory.

·         Accurately completes sales using POS system.

·         Assists customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·         Be available for ALL Springfield Thunderbirds home games during the 2016-17 season.

This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, increase their ticket sales with group tickets. With this internship, you focus on the most important aspect of any professional sports organization, ticket sales.

THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP

Duties:
• Assist in the daily operations of the Heat Group Sales department 
• Learn ticket sales process
• Learn Ticketmaster System to process group orders
• Creation and distribution of group sales marketing materials 
• Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the ticket sales department 
• Assist ticket department with season ticket holder or group sales mailings 
• Creating and maintaining ticket department databases and spreadsheets
• Maintain an organized profile of clients and prospects 
• Develop and implement programs for lead generation 
• Research and generate sales leads 
• Provide customer service to season ticket holders and implement customer relations programs both on and off site

Duties
• In-Game play-by-play updates across all Social Media outlets for home a select road games.
• Oversee in-game and in-office online contests and events (Tweet Your Seat, Weekly Enter To Win, Etc).
• Updating Photo Galleries on Penguins Flickr and Facebook page.
• Coordination of weekly scheduled social media activities (Fan of the Week, Trivia Contests, Throwback Thursday, etc).
