The Binghamton Devils are currently seeking Ticket Sales interns for the 2017-18 season. 2017-18 will be the inaugural season for the Binghamton Devils as the American Hockey League affiliate of the New Jersey Devils. The Binghamton Devils, the AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils, are seeking game day interns to assist our Director of Game Operations for their inaugural 2017-18 season. This is an unpaid position, however candidates have the opportunity to receive credit for their experience. This internship will give candidate a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, provide world class entertain, and give you a behind the scenes look on how to execute game night elements.  There are 10 internship opportunities available. Duties:

This position is designed to work as a paid sales representative during each game in which
scheduled. This is a part time position with a focus on in-game merchandise preparation, presentation,
and execution. The Checkers merchandise sales position is a structured opportunity for you to learn,

Job Duties:

Looking for a creative individual that has an eye for capturing the emotion of a situation through the medium of video and the editing skills to tell a story with that emotion.  
 

Desired skills & experience:

• Familiar with video formats and methods of compression.
• Know your way around production equipment with the ability to light, and capture quality video and audio.

Interns are involved with and receive hands on experience with PSE senior staff both in the office and on game and event days. Examples of areas where an intern with PSE Agency can expect to gain experience  include:
• Research, development and implementation for Groups + Events in association with the Providence Bruins and other events at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, the Rhode Island Convention Center and the Veterans Memorial Auditorium 
• Development and implementation of special event based programs including youth hockey, performances, group outings, promotional give-aways and enter-to-win promotions
• Partnership and Membership activation in association client interaction, advertising displays, promotional and event signage and experiential marketing 
• Public Relations including credentialing, interacting with media members and press box set up
• Marketing and promotional campaign development and implementation for Tickets + Events, Partnerships and Suites + Hospitality 
• Community Relations initiatives, both on and off-site, including mascot and/or player appearances
• Ticket activation and operations including various aspects of ticketing, invoicing and customer service for Memberships, Group + Events, Partnerships and  Suites + Hospitality 
• CRM management and other analytics such as lead generation programs, reports and inventory management
• Game and event day operations
• Educational classroom instruction provided by PSE senior staff on an ongoing basis

College Credit:
All internships at PSE Agency are associated with colleges, universities or other learning institutions. Students must earn college credit for the internship. PSE will work directly with the student’s adviser or faculty member at their learning institution in regard to aligning time, the internship experience itself and all evaluations and other such documentation. There is no financial compensation associated with this internship.

Term/Hours:
Internships are available on both a full credit and partial credit basis and are available for the fall, winter and summer semesters/trimesters/breaks. Internship hours can include game and events experience as well as in-office experience.

The Springfield Thunderbirds are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic, and community-driven Game Night staffers for the 2016-17 American Hockey League season. This internship will provide participants the chance to gain relevant sports experience in community relations and promotional settings. Duties for the Game Night staff include but are not limited to:

-Participate on the Thunderbirds Game Night Staff assisting with the fulfillment of Fan Experiences and other Community Relations Activities.

-Serve as a liaison with participating groups for game-night entertainment activities ranging from on-ice contests to concourse tables

-Assist in the distribution of giveaways and promotional items

-Manage concourse activites, contests, and data collection practices (Enter-to-Win raffles, etc.)

Ice Crew - 2017-18 Season - Springfield Thunderbirds (Springfield, MA)

The Springfield Thunderbirds are seeking dedicated Ice Crew members for the 2016-17 AHL season. Ice crew members are highly recommended to be available for all regular season home games from through April, as well as playoff games (if necessary). 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Assist with maintenance of ice (shoveling, moving nets, etc.) and operating associated equipment as required.

-Assist ice resurfacer drivers by moving hockey nets during and after games.

-Assist with hockey rink and game day related set-up requirements including glass cleaning, dasher board and glass maintenance.

-Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

-Experience working in an ice rink setting in front of large crowds is preferred.
