Located in Glens Falls, NY and playing at the Glens Falls Civic Center, the Adirondack Flames, the American Hockey League Affiliate of the Calgary Flames, are seeking a highly talented, organized and eager candidate for an internship position as the Coordinator of Game Operations.  This is an opportunity to support game day event production and work in the exciting professional sports and entertainment industry. We are looking for qualified candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring new and innovative ideas to our team. The position reports to our Director, Game Operations, and is right hand man on game nights.  He/She will have duties that will include, but are not limited to the following:

-Flawless execution of promotional game scripts at all Flames’ home games
-Overseeing promotional game night staff in their duties
-Help the Director, Game Operations host pre-game meetings with various groups involved in a Flames’ home game
-Help set up and tear down the various props and moving parts for Flames’ home games
-Assisting the Director, Game Operations with editing and adjusting the game scripts for a given night

The Binghamton Senators are currently seeking a Group Ticket Sales intern for the 2014-2015 season. Our goal is to maintain an intern program that is beneficial to both the student and the organization. The most important department in any professional sports organization is the ticket sales department. Most jobs in the industry, especially most entry-level jobs, are in the ticket sales area. Therefore, it is imperative that those who wish to work in professional sports have a background, knowledge, and love for selling tickets and the ticket selling process. This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, increase their ticket sales with group tickets. With this internship, you focus on the most important aspect of any professional sports organization,  ticket sales. You will get real world experience in selling group tickets and other special promotion packages by making cold calls to potential customers.

THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP, however there is the opportunity to EARN COMMISSIONS through sales. College credit accept, though not required.

Duties:
• Assist in the daily operations of the Senators Group Sales department
• Learn ticket sales process
• Learn how to organize group nights
• Learn Ticketmaster System to process group orders
• Creation and distribution of group sales marketing materials
• Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the ticket sales department
• Assist ticket department with season ticket holder or group sales mailings
• Creating and maintaining ticket department databases and spreadsheets

The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, the top affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders, are currently accepting applications for game night internships for the 2014-15 season. Candidates must currently be enrolled in college and can receive credit for their learning experience; there is no monetary compensation. The internship will take place at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT from October 2014 to April of 2015. Candidates must be able to work game nights and weekends throughout the entire season. Applicants should posses excellent people skills, be reliable and eager to work in sports.
As a participant in the game night internship program, interns learn the inner workings of how to run a successful top affiliate sports organization along with the operations of an arena.


Intern characteristics desired:
• Posses strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and the internet (any other special program / software usage is a plus)
• Have the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative

OBLIGATION: All home games for the 2014-2015 Hamilton Bulldogs season (37 games)

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 6-7

SUMMARY: The Hamilton Bulldogs, American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. Game Day Production Interns will be an integral part in the production of all Hamilton Bulldogs home games. Interns will rotate through a variety of positions including main follow camera, tight follow camera, faceoff/crowd shots camera, robo camera, replay system and graphics system. Interns will have the opportunity to produce Hamilton Bulldogs promotional videos and/or animations that may be shown in-game or via social media/website channels.  Interns will also learn how to operate a Tricaster switcher.

This crew will assist the Hamilton Bulldogs Game Operations team in capturing on-ice action, in-game promotions and high-energy crowd shots. The chosen candidates will gain hands-on experience across all facets of production and a firsthand look at what goes into executing Game Day Production for a full season of Hamilton Bulldogs hockey. 
 

PRIMARY GAME DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrive 2-3 hours prior to game time, meet with the Digital Production Coordinator to receive game day rundown and assignments

  • Camera set-up and take-down, ensure that all components are operating properly

  • Take direction from Digital Production Coordinator via headset

  • Capture in-game action, fan shots, contests, promotions and intermission events that take place in-arena

  • Update in-game graphics as required

  • Prepare replays of in-game action

  • Edit together highlight packages during intermissions of first and second period highlights

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interns will have the opportunity to produce promotional videos and/or animations that may be shown in-game or utilized via social media/website channels. This will require additional hours outside of game days and the intern may need to utilize their own editing equipment.

POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidates must be enrolled in a post-secondary course of study pertaining to Broadcasting, Communications Media, or a similar field.  The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication skills

  • Classroom or hands-on experience with operating cameras and editing software

SUMMARY: The Hamilton Bulldogs, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 2014-2015 season. Ticket Sales Interns will assist the Ticket Sales & Game Operations staff and work to assist with game-day responsibilities in the execution of in-arena game operations activities, including but not limited to: game night promotions, anthems, pre- and/or post-game ice-times, intermission entertainment, sponsored elements, handouts, preparation of game night materials, and execution of select special events.

This team will interact with The Hamilton Bulldogs front office staff, promo team, ice crew, Bulldogs mascot Bruiser, in-game host and our fans to execute pre-game, in-game and post-game activities.

PRIMARY GAME NIGHT RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Greet and direct pre-game groups for pre-game activities (example: skates, anthems)

·  Direct and control group traffic in back-of-house (secured) areas of the arena

·  Assist with lining up and instructing groups for anthems, intermissions, etc.

·  Assist with pre-game ceremonies and national anthems

·  Assist with pre-game and post-game handouts, when applicable

·  Assist third-party vendors with direction through the concourse, i.e. sponsors, bands, special guests

SUMMARY:
The individual in this role will be assisting the Texas Stars and Cedar Park Center Corporate Sponsorship Department in the activation and fulfillment of all sponsorships. Position Description

The Texas Stars Foundation is the charitable arm of the Texas Stars Hockey Club.  The Foundation manages charitable contributions and fundraising efforts on behalf of the Texas Stars as well as oversees community appearances by the team.  Intern will assist Foundation Director in game operations, foundation marketing, community relations, and special event preparation. With this internship, you focus on the most important aspect of any professional sports organization, ticket sales. You will get real world experience in selling group tickets and other special promotion packages by making cold calls to potential customers.

Duties:

  • Assist in the daily operations of the Utica Comets Group Sales department
