Game Presentation Internship - Lehigh Valley Phantoms (Allentown, PA)

The internship for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Game Presentation Department is a non-paying game-night internship over the course of a collegial fall/spring semester throughout the AHL hockey season. He or she is required to come in multiple days of the week and weekends (depending on schedule of season) to assist the Director of Game Presentation, or other members of the Phantoms organization, on an as needed basis.

Summary:  The Promotions Intern will gain a wealth of knowledge in Game Presentation.  This internship will focus on game nights and execution of promotions and large events.  Intern will be included through the entire process of promotional execution from concept level through game night execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work directly under the Director of Game Presentation on game nights
  • Setup and breakdown of game day equipment
  • Assist in the execution of game-night promotions and sponsor elements
  • Help coordinate theme nights and other tasks deemed necessary
  • Manage part-time game night staff that are under the Game Presentation Department
  • Assist the Director in leading and organizing the team and all aspects of the Game Night Presentation

            The Lehigh Valley Phantoms Game Presentation Department is seeking a video intern for the regular season. As an intern, you will work with the Production Coordinator & Production Assistant of the game presentation department in helping to create various graphics and video content for LV Phantoms home game. Interns will have the opportunity to shoot and edit video content & be part of the video crew during game nights here at the PPL Center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

-       Archiving and logging of video footage & game photos throughout the season

-       Creating video dubs of in-game moments for social media or sponsorship needs

-       Shooting and editing video content

-       Creating and updating graphics

-       Organizing video/graphic content on Ross Xpressions & Crossfire machines

Qualifications:

-       Interns are required to be enrolled in a college program and receive college credit during their internships

-       Experience with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, & Photoshop (Adobe After Effects is a plus)

Ticket Department Intern - 2017-2018 Season - Rockford IceHogs (Rockford, IL)

Duties:

1) Maintain ticket sales files
2) Data entry (must be familiar with Microsoft Excel)
3) Prepare and distribute mailings to season ticket holders
4) General office duties as assigned
6) Solicit new customers in the Rockford and surrounding areas (ex: Loves Park, Machesney Park, Belvedere etc…)
7) Answer inbound phone calls and direct to the proper person.
8) Assist the ticketing department with Customer Service issues as they arise, including directing any questions, problems and concerns to the appropriate IceHogs staff member.

Game Day Responsibilities:

Job Description:

The participant will work under the direction of the Syracuse Crunch front office to assist in team and community activities for the organization.

Objective/Goals:

The intern will obtain various skills while working closely with all members of the Crunch front office through hands-on experience assisting with office, gameday and community relations needs of a professional sports team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the game operations, public relations, ticket sales and other departments during all home 2017 Calder Cup Playoff games
  • Service phone calls and ticket orders
  • Assist with the continual upkeep of the club's database system by entering ticket purchaser data
  • Assist in the setup and execution of mascot appearances
  • Research local businesses and groups
  • Generate promotional ideas for the 2017-18 season
  • Assist with the planning and execution of any Crunch special events, such as Street Crunch
  • Provide excellent customer service to the Crunch fan base and public
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a degree in sport management, business, communications or related field
  • Strong creative, organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
