The Binghamton Senators are currently seeking two (2) media relations interns for the 2015-16 American Hockey League season. This will be a hands-on internship, providing interns the chance to gain real experience in the field. Game Operations Internship - Bridgeport Sound Tigers (Bridgeport, CT)

Description: Answers to the Director of Game Operations and takes direction from Senior Stage Managers. Typical schedule is 38 home games throughout the regular season (October - April), and playoffs running through May. Games can be at night on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and Sundays. Must arrive a minimum of 2 hours before game time, and expect to stay until the conclusion of the game, including any overtime and shoot-outs.

Game Ops Interns will have various assignments such as collaborating with the in-game host and wireless camera operator. Must be able to adapt, react and make quick decisions in order to maintain control of the TV time-out within a tight time frame. Interact with all members of the office from Team President to VP of Operations to Sales Reps, as well as all fans including children, parents, groups, sports teams and other patrons in attendance.

Constant communication with the video booth, cameras, lighting, game ops director, stage managers, spotlight,and other operations employees via headset. Contribute to promotions, giveaways, intermission events, player appearances, fan involvement and any event that is executed before, during and after the home game. No previous experience is required, but work history or classes taken in sports management are a plus.

Qualifications: Capable of working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, while staying upbeat and enthusiastic. Great customer service abilities, time management skills and an energetic attitude is a must. Professional approach toward players, officials, coaches and all employees is necessary. Ability to ice skate is NOT required but is preferred. We do not provide housing or transportation. The ideal candidates are college students and recent college graduates looking to receive college credit and/or gain valuable experience in the sports & entertainment field.

FALL 2015 Foundation Internship - Charlotte Checkers (Charlotte, NC)

Position Description

The Checkers Charitable Foundation is the charitable arm of the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Club.  The Foundation manages charitable contributions and fundraising efforts on behalf of the Charlotte Checkers. The Checkers are looking to hire for a nonpaid internship working (30-40 hours per week), with the need to be at all home games and Foundation related events.

Specific Duties

  • Collaborate with donation recipients and partner charities for Foundation related promotions, events, and community appearances
  • Assist in coordination of donation fulfillment and tracking of donation fulfillment
  • Assist with community relations and Charitable Foundation events and sponsorship activations, which include but are not limited to:
    • 50/50 Raffle ticket sales
    • Charitable Partner of the Game activation
    • Pick Up a Book and Read school program
    • Post-Game Skate sales
    • Specialty night awareness activation
    • In game sponsored collection events (Food drives, DVD drives, etc…)
  • Assist with management and implementation of in-game fundraisers

The Chicago Wolves have an internship position open in the television production department.

He/she will work with the television department to facilitate the production of the Chicago Wolves broadcast and game-day promotions, as well as contribute to the management of our digital space media. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in television production, broadcast media, or other related field. A graphic design and animation background is also helpful. Position Description

The Texas Stars Foundation is the charitable arm of the Texas Stars Hockey Club.  The Foundation manages charitable contributions and fundraising efforts on behalf of the Texas Stars as well as oversees community appearances by the team.  Intern will assist Foundation Director in game operations, foundation marketing, community relations, and special event preparation. Reports to Texas Stars Foundation Director.

Specific Duties

· Assist with management and implementation of in-game fundraisers and special fundraising events

· Collaborate with donation recipients, honorees, and partner charities for Foundation related promotions, events, and community appearances

· Assist in coordination of donation fulfillment and tracking of donation fulfillment

· Assist in planning of large scale Foundation fundraising events

· Collaborate with Foundation Board of Directors and assist in incorporation of Board ideas

· Prepares event memos and post-mortems on events, registration forms, invitations, etc.

Qualifications/Requirements
