Job Summary

Responsible for the fulfillment and implementation of all assigned Corporate Partner Agreements.  In addition, responsible for maximizing renewal percentages by providing outstanding customer service to assigned accounts through developing long-term relationships; this is accomplished through interpersonal skills by phone calls, emails, office and event visits.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, playing a meaningful role in the renewal process of all assigned accounts, developing increased revenue streams by implementing new and exciting promotional concepts exceeding those outlined in existing agreements.  Facilitate the sale of new agreements by collaborating on sales proposals and providing research on potential new partners.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

•    Execute all elements of assigned Corporate Partner accounts with an emphasis towards cross-promotional opportunities.

•    Assemble and distribute precise Welcome Packets to all new accounts.

•    Develop and maintain positive relationships with assigned client base.

•    Maintain thorough, up-to-date contract and database files on all assigned accounts.  

•    Work with our Legal Department in preparing agreements for assigned accounts.  Agreements to be distributed and approved as outlined.

•    Participate in the coordination and execution of various partner related special events.

•    Create and execute mid-season evaluations and post season summaries for Corporate Partner accounts.

•    Create then gather information from end of year surveys to improve department efficiency and customer service efforts.

•    Work event days to execute promotions, visit assigned Corporate Partners and entertain prospects.

•    Work closely with other departments within the organization on Corporate Partner related programs including game operations, community relations, public relations, tickets sales, marketing, hockey operations, hospitality/catering and facility operations.

•    Prepare and send correspondence to assigned Corporate Partner accounts.

•    Coordinate research and data analytics to use in sales proposals, recaps and to overall support the sales efforts for the team.

•    Manage miscellaneous administrative tasks.

•    Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Manager, Corporate Sales  is responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the integrated packaging of Tucson AHL franchise and Arena assets including, but not limited to, television, radio, signage, digital, social media,  publications, promotions, tickets, suites, and hospitality.  Also responsible for the overall management  of  several  existing  corporate  partnerships  including  the  development  of  new revenue opportunities, utilizing activation based selling, creating value added opportunities and mutually beneficial market activation programs.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

•    Research, prospect and establish leads for corporate relationships followed by an introductory needs analysis/discovery meeting utilizing a consultative activation based sales approach.

•    Prepare and present proposals to sponsor partner prospect decision makers.

•    Work closely with Director of Sales and other members of the corporate partnerships team to achieve individual and departmental goals.

•    Work closely with Coordinator, Corporate Service to ensure contractual fulfillment with an emphasis towards maximizing cross promotional opportunities and in-market activation.

•    Generate a pre-determined level of new business revenue for AHL Team and Tucson Convention Center with particular attention to net revenues.

•    Maximize category yield in all major categories through the sale of fully integrated partnerships.

•    Prepare weekly sales reports.

•    Create an annual business plan with activation based sales strategies, renewal targets and new business projections for upcoming fiscal year.

•    Work game days and special events to entertain existing partners and prospects.

•    Work closely with other departments across the organization on corporate partnership related programs   including game presentation, community relations, public relations, ticket sales, hockey/facility operations and marketing to drive partnership activation.

•    Other duties as assigned.
 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

•    3-5 years of professional sports corporate partnerships sales experience with a detailed focus related to activation based selling.

•    Self-motivated team player with a proven ability to work with aggressive individual and team sales goals.

•    Superior  knowledge  regarding  the  practices  and  principles  related  to  the  sale  and implementation of corporate partnerships. 

•    Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with corporate clients and co-workers.

•    Organizational wide focus with incorporating all departments into selling process.

•    Strong sales proposal and presentation experience.

•    Possess the ability to establish relationships within all levels of the company as well as with sponsors and clients.

•    Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.

•    Ability to create, update and follow an annual business plan.

•    Solutions oriented problem solving mentality a must.

•    Must be creative, detail oriented, possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and have a burning desire to succeed.

Education and Formal Training:

•    Previous experience with CRM, Marketline/Stone Timber River, Scarborough Research and Repucom a plus.

•    Degree in sports management/marketing or related field preferred.
 

Experience:

Overview:

The Senior Corporate Partnership Sales Manager is primarily responsible for generating new business revenue with local, regional and national companies through the sale of integrated sponsorship packages of?the PPL Center and Lehigh Valley Phantoms assets. The Senior Corporate Partnership Sales Manager will sell fully integrated marketing, media and promotional programs that include marketing rights, on-premise signage, game sponsorships, promotions, event marketing, media exposure and select premium seating elements.

Duties:

  • Work with the VP of Corporate Partnerships & Premium Seating to implement the goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all corporate sales programs and activities
  • Prospect, sell, activate and maintain corporate sponsorships, advertising and premium seating partnerships for the venue, team and special events
  • Regularly engaged in the business of making sales, and presentations away from the primary place of business
  • Design sales proposals and presentations for potential corporate partners
  • Prepare advertising, sponsorship and premium seating contracts and addenda; identify issues with contract language; address issues with and make recommendations for resolution; negotiate corporate sales pricing and other rates as required
  • Achieve corporate partnership revenue goals and budgets
  • Work with Lehigh Valley Phantoms team to coordinate the fulfillment of all aspects of contractual obligations including tickets, signage and other branding and promotions
  • Meet with corporate partners and outside agencies at their place of work to get all branding created and placed in a timely manner
  • Interact in a professional manner with senior level management and ownership
  • Oversee the service of corporate partnerships through various means including direct contact, newsletters, partner gatherings and client entertainment events
  • Identify key open categories and new categories as prospective new business leads
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Renew and grow existing corporate sponsorship and media partnerships through continued outstanding service and up selling of additional sponsorship assets into current partnership agreement
  • Track prospecting, sales and inventory, and manage sales reports
  • Manage corporate sales and select premium seating inventory in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in advertising or sports sponsorship/arena sales
  • Experience in the Lehigh Valley marketplace preferred
  • Proven track record of generating new business and retaining clients
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in sales, public relations, business administration, hospitality management, or other related field
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Work, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to spend time on the road conducting sales pitches to new prospective clients

 This position will be responsible for coordinating all premium seating sales for the PPL Center.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Premium Seating will be responsible for coordinating all premium seating sales and servicing for the PPL Center and Lehigh Valley Phantoms. This person will oversee the sales of luxury and bunker suites, loge boxes and club seats. They will also manage the staff that will assist in the premium seating servicing and/or rental sales process. General management and sales duties will include:

  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of other staff positions in department when applicable
  • Provide top level client servicing to premium seat clients
  • Plan for upcoming renewal cycles and gifts and/or special events for PS clientele
  • Budget requirements and contract compliance
  • Assist with the creation of policies and procedures as needed
  • Reporting and tracking systems (Salesforce, BOX, etc.)
  • Work closely with team ticket sales department to ensure common message is received to all ticketing clients (both STH and PS clients)
  • Assist in the creation and development of sales presentation materials
  • Liaison with accounting, box office, team personnel, and Spectra as needed
  • Coordinate all aspects of sales solicitation process including account lists and assignments for staff
  • Develop and implement marketing plan to sell inventory
  • Hold weekly sales meetings and follow reporting system to corporate
  • Sales of all inventory- achieving appropriate goals as determined by management
  • Manage the contract database and sales reports
  • Other duties as appropriate for a director

Qualifications:

  • Extensive premium seating sales experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills required
  • 4-5 years of sales experience or previous experience in a similar working environment

REQUIREMENTS: 

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales/management experience required. 

·         A Minimum 5 years of prior sales experience; previous sales experience in a professional sports/entertainment environment required. 

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks.

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·         Proven history of delivering significant new business and closing multi-year deals.
