Assistant Director, Corporate Sales & Consumer Products

Position Summary/Description: The individual in this role will be proactive in identifying marketplace opportunities while prospecting and developing proposals to generate new corporate partnerships, drive the department’s ticket sales program, manage the organization’s sponsorship services department and consumer products business. This candidate must be prepared to work every Adirondack Thunder home game, hosting clients on a daily basis while also assisting the department with various sponsor events throughout the season.

REPORTS TO:  

Director, Corporate Sales & Marketing

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Research, prospect and establish leads – via direct phone contact, networking, organizations and industry events

·         Responsible for making daily sales calls and assist the Corporate Department with sales proposals on behalf of the Adirondack Thunder

·         Drive the Ticket Sales portion of the revenue budget (phone solicitations, daily call metrics)

·         Communicate directly with sponsors on details of the sponsorship and ways to enhance and activate partnerships

·         Track all assigned partner contracts to ensure that all elements are fulfilled, executed and reported with an emphasis towards maximizing cross-promotional opportunities

·         Showcase Adirondack Thunder partnership opportunities for existing partners and prospects during game days and special events

·         Research, price and order all promotional items related to corporate partnerships

·         Manage the day-to-day business of the consumer products program which includes servicing all online orders/walk-ins, maintaining inventory, etc…

·         Oversee a Merchandise Game-Night Staff

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent education and related sales experience

• Minimum 1-3 years in customer service, sponsorship sales and service or related marketing/consumer products experience working in the sports and entertainment industry

• Proficient computer skills including ability to work with Microsoft Office

• Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within professional and team oriented environment

• Excellent time-management and organizational skills with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple duties

• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated with ability to work well independently within a team and results oriented environment
