The Binghamton Senators are currently seeking Ticket Sales interns for the 2010 winter and spring. Our goal is to maintain an internship program that is beneficial to both the student and the organization. The most important department in any professional sports organization is the ticket sales department. Most jobs in the industry, especially most entry-level jobs, are in the ticket sales area. Therefore, it is imperative that those who wish to work in professional sports have a background, knowledge, and love for selling tickets and the ticket selling process. This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, increase their ticket sales with season and group tickets. With these summer internships, you focus on two of the most important aspects of any professional sports organization, season and group ticket sales. There are up to 3 positions available. OPPORTUNITY TO EARN COMMISSIONS!
Duties:
• Learn ticket sales process
• Make cold calls to local companies and individuals selling 2009-20010 group ticket packages and mini-plans
• Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the ticket sales department
• Assist ticket department with season ticket holder mailings
• Assist in the daily operations of the Senators Group Sales department
• Creating and maintaining ticket department databases and spreadsheets
• Maintain an organized profile of clients and prospects
• Develop and implement programs for lead generation
• Research and generate sales leads
• Provide customer service and implement customer relations programs both on and off site
• Assist in servicing season ticket holders and other clients
• Assist the sales staff in regard to their clerical duties
• Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements:
? Work at least 25 hours a week in the Senators office, some nighttime work required
? Work external events to help promote the Binghamton Senators
? Must maintain professional attitude and appearance, and willing to work hard
? Must working towards a career in sports management
? Preference given to those who wish to work in sales in the sports industry
? Must have own transportation and a valid Drivers License

Group Sales/Customer Service Internship
(Winter/Spring 2008-2009)
The Binghamton Senators are currently seeking a Group Ticket Sales/Customer Service intern for the 2009-2010 season. Our goal is to maintain an intern program that is beneficial to both the student and the organization. Therefore, it is imperative that those who wish to work in professional sports have a background, knowledge, and love for selling tickets and the ticket selling process. I am looking more for someone who can assist the department in the group sales ticket selling process, rather than an actual salesperson. This internship will give the intern a vast knowledge of how professional sports organizations, especially minor league organizations, increase their ticket sales with season and group tickets.
Duties:
• Assist in the daily operations of the Senators Group Sales department
• Learn ticket sales process
• Learn how to organize group nights
• Creation and distribution of group sales marketing materials
• Assist with marketing and promotional campaigns for the ticket sales department
• Assist ticket department with season ticket holder or group sales mailings
• Creating and maintaining ticket department databases and spreadsheets
• Maintain an organized profile of clients and prospects
• Develop and implement programs for lead generation
• Research and generate sales leads
• Provide customer service to season ticket holders and implement customer relations programs both on and off site
• Assist in servicing season ticket holders and other clients
• Assist the sales staff in regard to their clerical duties
• Perform all other duties as assigned
• Assist in pre-game and in-game preparation for various activities, including any pre-game or intermission youth hockey games
• Visit with group leaders during games
Requirements:
? Work at least 25 hours a week in the Senators office
? Work ALL home games, will be responsible for all Group Sales Ticket processing on game nights.
? Must maintain professional attitude and appearance, and willing to work hard
? Must be college student, working towards a career in sports management
? Preference given to those who wish to work in ticket sales

Job Summary: The Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League are offering an opportunity to current college level students looking to gain real world sales experience and position themselves for a career in the Sports Industry upon graduation. Ticket Sales Interns will be trained in phone sales and managed by Houston Aeros Director of Sales & Director of Business Development. Interns will be responsible for making cold calls to generate new business ticket revenue for the Houston Aeros. Basic sales and marketing principles will be explained throughout the internship. Ticket Sales Interns will make a weekly stipend and commission on all sales. As a bonus, top performers will also be offered to interview for an Account Executive position with the Houston Aeros.
