Description: High energy, enthusiastic individuals will be responsible for the game night operations and selling of the 50/50 Central raffle program. The program is a computerized system that sells raffle tickets to fans. Half of the money raised at the end of the game goes to the winning fan, the other half goes to the Monarchs Care Foundation charity.

Responsibilities will include setting up the two 50/50 Central raffle stations and programming the hand-held machines. Once doors open, the individuals will sell the raffle tickets throughout the game until the second intermission. They will choose a winner and count the money.

 

 

Number of Positions: 8-10

Hours: 4 hours game

Availability: 25+ games

Pay: $32.00 per game or internship credit

Game Operations Assistant - Internship - Manchester Monarchs (Manchester, NH)

The game operations intern works directly with the Game Content Manager in the control room. Their main responsibility involves facilitating communication between the Control Room and all parties that coordinate with the control room. This includes Monarch staff, Customer Service, and AHL officials, among others.

This intern will also assist the Game Content Manager in ensuring that all elements of in-game presentation are executed correctly.  Knowledge and familiarity with hockey are highly recommended.

 

Required Hours: Approximately 5 hours per game

If you love hockey and want to be a part of a well-established professional sports organization, then the Manchester Monarchs Max Pack/Promo Squad is the place for you!

The Manchester Monarchs Hockey Organization, the AHL affiliate of the LA Kings, is currently looking for a group of talented, energetic, outgoing, charismatic, personable and accomplished MEN and WOMEN to be a part of the Manchester Monarchs Max Pack/Promo Squad!  The 2014-2015 Max Pack/Promo Squad will mirror the likes of the LA Kings Ice Crew.  

As a Max Pack/Promo Squad Member, you will be at Manchester Monarchs home games and will be heavily involved in game day operations and presentation while interacting with and motivating fans during home games to create the ultimate fan experience!  Max Pack/Promo Squad members are considered the performers of our home games and events.  All members will also represent the Manchester Monarchs organization throughout the community and be ambassadors for the Monarchs organization through community events.

Members will setup and conduct all the in-game, on and off ice contests and promotional events and will be heavily interacting with and entertaining fans.  Members are also responsible for other pre-game and post-game duties. 

Skating ability (in hockey skates) is strongly encouraged, but not necessarily required.  Dance ability is also welcomed but not a requirement.  These skills may enhance the experience of members through additional Max Pack/Promo Squad opportunities in and outside of games.

 

Max Pack/Promo Squad Members arrive to all home games 2 1/2 hours prior to game start and work on a rotating schedule.  In addition to Manchester Monarchs home games, members are required to make appearances at community events for corporations, non-profit organizations and sponsors of the Monarchs organization, all based on individual availability.

Content Management: 

  • Responsible for the content creation and distribution of team press releases, player transactions, game day stories and publications, team e-blasts and the media guide.

 

Community: 

  • Assist in events to engage the community.
  • Promote our community efforts both to the media as well as to our fan base for increased participation through social media channels, website and press releases. 

 

Website Maintenance: 

  • Creating innovative content for our website on a daily basis and responsible for updating of all website content.  
  • Working with the other departments in the front office on promoting events, special offers for both ticketing and merchandise, and community efforts. 

 

Player Management: 

  • Serves as the liaison between the players/hockey operations department and both the media and the front office staff. 
  • Point-of-contact for all player appearances and will work with members of the front office staff on coordination, communication, and execution. 
  • Responsible for assisting in player day-to-day tasks as requested by the hockey operations department and/or executive team. 

 

AHL Communications: 

  • Point-person for communication with the American Hockey League as it relates to player information.
  • Fulfilling weekly league requirements including team notes and weekly reports.
  • Updating rosters and add and/or delete players on all AHL platforms as transactions occur.

 

Game Night Duties: 

  • Home and away media requests.
  • Assists professional scouts in attendance and oversees off-ice officials.

The video production intern will assist in the filming, editing and presentation of video and graphics used throughout the Monarchs operation.

 

 

 

Duties may include:
