Position Overview:


Springfield Thunderbirds, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers is seeking an Account Executive to generate revenue through the sale of season tickets, mini-plans and group ticket sales.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

·         Make cold calls to area companies, organizations, social groups, schools and non-profits, with a primary focus on selling group ticket packages and season tickets

·         Schedule face-to-face meetings with prospective clients

·         Create and develop new group sales concepts to generate new revenue streams 

·         Develop, implement and maintain sales campaigns utilizing direct mail, cold calling, appointment scheduling, and ticket driven revenue promotions

·         Meet or exceed ticket sales revenue objectives 

·         Generate own leads by prospecting respective sales area

·         Prospecting through local networking opportunities

·         Work all home games to develop new prospects, meet with present clients and maximize referral opportunities

·         Maintain complete and accurate records for customers and organization

·         Daily update of database and call sheets

·         Perform other promotional or service functions assigned by the Director of Ticket Sales

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelors degree majoring in a related field

·         Hardworking, dependable & motivated self starter

·         Exceptional interpersonal and problem solving skills

·         Proven oral, written and presentation skills

·         Able to work a 40 hour work week plus games and other outside events

Position Overview:

 

The Springfield Thunderbirds, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers is seeking a dynamic leader as Coordinator of Marketing Partnerships. The Coordinator of Marketing Partnerships is responsible for the planning, execution and day-to-day management of all aspects surrounding detailed sponsorship agreements as well as acting as the liaison between multiple sponsors and/or their advertising agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Manage day-to-day relationship between team and corporate partners
  • Collaborate with sales colleagues to ensure a full understanding of client marketing objectives and strategic priorities
  • Responsible for providing partners with sponsorship elements, deadlines and specifications on a timely basis
  • Execute and fulfill elements for multiple partnership agreements and present detailed reporting on sponsorship execution, including affidavits, photographs, and program summaries
  • Responsible for prospecting and setting up new business meetings
  • Take an active role in departmental renewal goals
  • Track expenses and manage budgets related to execution of sponsorship agreements
  • Facilitate ongoing client engagement thru meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence
  • Manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Maintain and update client service related elements within Archtics
  • Event planning & execution of all sponsor related elements
  • Support sponsors and guests at games and other work functions
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a sponsorship role in professional sports or collegiate athletics
  • Self-motivated with high-energy customer relations drive
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with people of all different levels and backgrounds
  • Ability to work with other departments on integrating sponsor needs and requests
  • Ability to work game nights and evening events based on business needs

Position Overview:

The Springfield Thunderbirds, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Florida Panthers is seeking a creative Manager of Digital and Social Media. The Manager of Digital & Social Media will be responsible for creating and managing all aspects of social media. The primary objectives is to support ticketing campaigns (season tickets, mini plans, group sales and single tickets) as well as increase the scope of the digital platforms in order to increase the value of the teams inventory.

Primary Responsibilities:  

Email Marketing:

  • Identify proper technologies, tools and skills for team to utilize
  • Re-define email strategies to conform with current best practices
  • Work closely with executive management team and ticketing department

Social Media:

  • Communicate new ideas for each team to incorporate into their plans
  • Stay in touch with current trends and technologies to provide recommendations to executive management team
  • Support execution of social media activations and day-to-day assistance of social media programming as needed

Mobile App:

  • Identify viable ways for team to create an application

Digital Advertising:

  • Work with marketing department(s) to support organizations develop cost effective digital advertising plans, reports and strategies

Digital Sponsorship:

  • Work closely with Manager of Client Services with ideas on digital activation
  • Focus on creating valuable inventory and platforms that can be monetized by sponsorship team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • 1-3 years in sports / entertainment with a focus in digital media
  • Good project management skills with a grasp of technical and business perspectives
  • Strong knowledge of social media best practices and trends
  • Independent, self-starter, with strong knack to research new ideas
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), and ability to learn required business systems
  • Experience in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or other web platforms is preferred
  • Familiarity with Social Media Analytics tools is preferred
  • Knowledge of sports industry is preferred

Vice President, Team Business Services - American Hockey League (Springfield, MA)

Reporting to the EVP, Marketing & Business Development, this individual will manage a broad and substantive program that provides quantitative and qualitative ticket sales and sponsorship best practices support to AHL member clubs.

The AHL Team Business Services program places a priority on ticket sales and sponsorship sales growth at the team level utilizing league wide data collection, analysis and reporting; collection and dissemination of best practices; in-market consulting; league wide meetings; sales training and other business development initiatives.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.


Qualifications:

  • Strong professional sports experience in ticket sales and sponsorship sales at the account executive and management levels
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong inter-personal skills; ability to effectively build relationships with AHL ownership, senior management and staff
  • Self-starter, team player and detail focused
  • Strong IT background, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and various ticket database software programs
